Short answer

This post covers announcements dated December 2025 to September 2026 that the vendors in our line-up list on their own sites or link to. The two September items are Comp AI's $34M Series A (reported 2026-09-17) and Scytale's AI Third-Party Risk Management launch (2026-09-15).

What does this recap cover?

It collects dated items that vendors publish in their own news lists or link to from their homepages, as read on 2026-09-29. It includes product, funding and recognition items only, and it is not a survey of all coverage. A vendor missing from this list may simply not publish dated product news on the pages we reviewed. The full list, with sources, is on our timeline page.

What happened in September 2026?

On 2026-09-17 TechCrunch reported that Comp AI raised a $34M Series A; Comp AI's homepage carries a banner linking to the report. Comp AI states 1,000+ companies, 580+ integrations and an open-source codebase. On 2026-09-15 Scytale announced an AI Third-Party Risk Management product, adding vendor-risk work to a platform that already describes AI agents for evidence, questionnaires and remediation. Third-party risk is a theme across the line-up: Vanta lists a TPRM agent, Sprinto an Autonomous TPRM product and Drata an Agentic TPRM Assessment on its Enterprise plan.

What happened earlier in 2026?

Scytale's news list includes recognition in Frost & Sullivan's 2026 Global Customer Value Leadership program (2026-07-21) and a G2 Best Software Award in the GRC category (2026-02-27). We list these as Scytale reports them; we do not use award or review-site ratings in our scores.

And in December 2025?

Scytale's news list includes AWS Rising Star Partner of the Year (Technology) for EMEA, dated 2025-12-09.

What do these items tell a buyer?

Two things. First, vendor-risk management is becoming a standard module: four of six vendors now describe an AI or agentic TPRM feature. If you assess many suppliers, ask how the TPRM module shares data with your compliance controls. Second, the category is still attracting capital and new entrants, which means pricing and packaging will keep moving. Our data reflects 2026-09-29; recheck plan pages before you sign.

How will we update this?

New dated items go on the timeline page when a vendor publishes them on its own site or links to them. A new post will summarize them when there is enough to say. Scores change only when the underlying vendor pages change, not because of news.

How do these items fit the ranking?

They do not move scores by themselves. Our maturity criterion uses the customer counts and product breadth vendors state on their pages, not funding rounds or awards; Comp AI's Series A is noted in its maturity reason as context only. Scytale's new AI Third-Party Risk Management product does not change its AI agent coverage score, which is based on the five tasks in our work split, none of which is vendor-risk work. If TPRM matters to you, compare the TPRM descriptions directly: Scytale's new product, Vanta's TPRM agent, Sprinto's Autonomous TPRM and Drata's Agentic TPRM Assessment. We will add a TPRM row to the work split if enough vendors describe the tasks in detail. Until then, treat news as a prompt to recheck a vendor's pages, not as evidence in itself. When a vendor changes its plans, prices or product pages as a result of news, the data file changes and every score, ranking and versus page recomputes from it.
