Human expert models: dedicated expert, Slack access, partners

Short answer

Vendors here use three models. Scytale assigns a dedicated compliance expert who runs readiness and manages the audit. Comp AI and Delve offer 1:1 Slack support with experts. Vanta and Drata route expert work to partners, and Sprinto describes 24x5 email and in-app support.

What does a dedicated expert do?

Scytale's compliance experts page says the dedicated expert 'manages the entire audit-readiness process', holds weekly meetings with the customer, and that Scytale takes over full management of the audit process with the customer's chosen auditor. This is a proactive model: someone outside your team owns the schedule and chases the gaps. It suits companies without an in-house compliance lead, and first-time audits in particular.

What does Slack access to experts give you?

Comp AI and Delve both describe 1:1 Slack support with experts and publish fast response claims (under 3 minutes and under 5 minutes respectively, both vendor claims). This is a reactive model: you ask, they answer. It works well for teams that run the project themselves and want quick answers without a meeting cadence.

How do partner models work?

Vanta lists access to expert partners on its Essentials plan and works with vCISOs, MSPs and MSSPs. Drata states 1300+ partners, including vCISO partners who provide security leadership, and auditors. Partner models give you choice and scale, but the expert is a separate firm, often with its own contract and fee.

Which model should you pick?

Match the model to who will own the work. If nobody on your team has run an audit, a dedicated expert reduces the risk of a missed deadline. If you have a security lead who wants answers fast, Slack access may be enough. If you already work with a vCISO or MSP, a partner-led platform may fit how you buy services. Ask each vendor what happens when you add framework two: does the same expert or channel cover it, or is it a new engagement?

What does each model cost your team in time?

A dedicated expert model moves scheduling, evidence chasing and auditor coordination to the vendor, but your team still attends the weekly meeting and owns the decisions. A Slack model keeps the project with your team and shortens the wait for answers. A partner model adds a second relationship to manage, with its own onboarding. None of the vendors publishes hours saved in a way we can check, so estimate the time from your own plan: who will run the weekly checklist, who will talk to the auditor, and who will answer questions when a control fails.
